In 1929...
Per the minutes of the Webster Avenue Club, which began in late 1928:
The July meeting of the Webster Club was held at Mrs. Broeking's. As far as I know, everybody was present. Plans for a picnic for the husbands were discussed and we decided to have it the last Sat. in July. It was decided that we would go to Forest Park at Noblesville. That being all the business, we each had to talk one minute on some subject, which had been given to us. Then we all played “Flea.” Mrs. Bechtold won the prize which was a $.69 vase. Refreshments were then served. A good time was had by all. The next meeting was to be at Mrs. Crane's.

About Us
>> Our Mission
We are a neighborhood Crime Watch that encompasses approximately 425 homes. We have monthly meetings in which we discuss not only crime prevention but also upcoming improvements and current issues that impact our neighborhood (i.e., commerce, structures, beautification, etc). Our neighbors have asked several times at the meetings if we could set up a site they could visit to get updates and to post the times and locations of meetings and events. We hope to give our neighborhood another medium in which to obtain information not only about our organization, but also the neighborhood in which they live.Irvington Terrace's current Crime Watch/Neighborhood Organization is a response to the urban realities of our historic neighborhood. Residents have a strong sense of community and we work to provide new opportunities for neighbors to get to know one another while staying informed and working together to keep the neighborhood safe by organizing the following events and initiatives:
- Annual Clean Up Day
- Monthly Meetings
- Annual Block Party
- Porch Initiative
- Walking Initiative
- Neighborhoods Proposal
- History of Irvington Terrace
